Sanitization Tunnels and Chambers
The need for personal hygiene has become a necessity due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. This is an informative post by iLabot Technologies, manufacturers of sanitization chambers, air showers and related scientific equipment. Personal Hygiene is still manageable but when it comes to mass sanitizations at public gatherings. It becomes a major concern to manage and sanitize every individual visiting the complex. Handwashing and use of disinfectant on hands are good, the real question still looms. Is it safe?
To be honest, there is just one answer NO. Handwashing and use of masks can limit the transmission, it just cannot eliminate the risk of spread of the virus. As they say, “necessity is the mother of all inventions”. One such invention due to COVID-19 is the sanitization chamber. We have only heard of air showers till now and the imminent challenge of the constant need for personal and social hygiene has carved its way for sanitization chamber/sanitization tunnel/disinfectant spray tunnel.
This ingenious product is not only cheaper than an Air Shower, but it is also highly effective against micro-organisms/viruses/bacteria lying on someone’s clothes or body. This spray machine working principle is quite simple, a sprayer is placed on top of the chamber and upon entering the disinfectant is sprinkled in the form of small droplets. The position of the spray machine is strategically placed to facilitate disinfectant spray to equally be distributed on all parts.
How?
The spray machine has 3 or more nozzles which equally sprinkles the spray in mist form on all parts of the chamber ensuring that the entrant has been sanitized properly.
Cost: Sanitization Chambers cost anywhere from 20,000 INR to 1,00,000 INR. Depending on the layout and requirement, the cost can be calculated.
Layout: The attached image is a tentative layout of a sanitization chamber.
Main parts of the chamber consist of an enclosed chamber with entry and exit points. One of the main factors of cost escalation is the choice of material used to manufacture the outer body of the tunnel. Then comes the disinfectant tank, our disinfectant spray machine uses a 100 ltr storage tank and then there are 3 specially placed spray nozzles. Then one of the last remaining set is the power options and management of spray duration. Our standard time frame is 25 seconds which can be prolonged or shortened as per requirement. The standard size of the smallest chamber made by us is 4 ft. x 4 ft. x 7 ft.
Benefits of Sanitization Chamber:
1. Better sanitization
2. Time Saving
3. Highly Effective
4. Lower Costs
5. 650 sprays in one refill
