Main parts of an Horizontal Autoclave are listed below:
1. Test Chamber: The test chamber shown here is a triple walled test chamber. These are ideal for dry sterilization of surgical equipment and can generate a pressure of upto 20 PSI
2. Multi-Port valve — This is used to transfer of steam from jacket to test chamber. With multi port valve, user can easily select the quantity and pressure of steam to be transferred to the jacket. Whether it has to be slow, quick. All options are available.
3. Safety Valve — Used to release pressure in case the pressure generated is more than what was needed.
4. Vacuum Breaker — To ensure no vacuum is created.
5. Compound Gauge for Chamber — Shows values in kg/cm2
6. Pressure Gauge for Jacket — Shows values in kg/cm2
7. Pressure lock — For locking and securing the sterilization chamber
8. Phase Indicator — Shows how many phases of electric current is available.
9. Load — Confirms that the steam pressure is being built.
10. Digital Temperature Indicator — Shows the current temperature as well as options to change the temperature settings.
11. Water Level — The storage tank shows the water-level inside the unit.
